This is a beautiful idea. I used to love writing and receiving letters.

Same! I even collected writing paper and envelopes in the 80s as a kid. 😅

Ollie, I love this: So open and vulnerable, and so detailed that I feel as if I'm with you in London, having a hot chocolate and wondering which movie you decided to watch. Stefan: such a grand friend and his letter expresses how we don't realize these days how important snail mail actually is and how a letter from a penpal can brighten a day and change our outlook on the world.

This is a grand idea!

Thank you so for mentioning me and "Letters to Granddaughter" with watercolors I did on plain stationery. I want to become one of your Pen pals and will be writing you a letter you might post and reply to! In the meantime, go, Ollie!

Thanks so much Mary, it's a real honour to have you as one of the pen pals. You are an inspiration! I've messaged you my postal address and look forward to having you along this journey. I'm sure it's going to be interesting as all the pen pals are so unique. Hopefully some good conversations about the letters will be sparked as well!

As you have already guessed, I love this! When I saw a mention of Australia, I hoped you were talking about me! :) I still have all the letters we wrote to each other in university. I look forward to returning to our roots. Agreed there is a certain mindfulness and intention to handwriting a letter that can't be found in many other mediums.

Really glad you're up for it! I also have your letters, but at Kevin's parents in Canada. I really hope I'm reconnected with them soon!

So happy to have you onboard this experiment and please keep an eye on the post!

Again, no hurry or rush. Xx

I only got mine from my parents' shed in Canada a few years ago. Life as a third culture kid... :P
